I don't think cable/sattelite are going anywhere. I said they aren't getting rid of their boxes because box leases are additonal revenue.

I don't need the xbox to do everything if I have it's capabilities by other means. Be my gaming system. Smart TVs are killing the need for consoles to be middle men to get the apps and features needed as they have these capabilities built in now.

And yes, your console would not work if you didn't pay the bill. It happens now with people who did the subsidized 360.

We dont need are phones to everything but they do, Its called convenience. Its nothing wrong with it being a all in one entertainment system.

I understand that fully, but most would have rather had the stronger console in this situation than forced kinect/entertainment fluff.

Honestly, if both consoles were similar powerwise, I'd keep both. But kinect doesn't interest me, and I'm not paying more for a weaker system. I can "snap" now on my smart tv too. And Halo doesn't interest me.

Not saying that for others, it may be sexy, but just not for me.

I got my TV to be my all in one entertainment system .... My ps4 is for gaming and gaming only...
