On a serious note, Howard has produced a great number of highly influential black professionals in a number of fields. I talk my shyt, but I'm not gonna shyt on HBCUs, especially being a HBCU grad.

What kinda nonsense is this?

this goes back to a long list of threads on the subject of HBCU's. i've always said don't blame students and athletes, who want to go to a big 5 star college, instead of an HBCU. others in here think they should always choose an HBCU

my point has always been, it's not on the broke kid to live in a worse situation. that should be the rich black folks in our community.. even well to do/upper middle class. that should be donating money and pushing the advancement of HBCU's, so our kids will actually want to go there because it's equal to a better school AND it has black people.

the convo was tripled when Trump brought in those HBCU's, signed some paper, then backhandedly sicced the govt on them for racial profiling.. still brothers said we don't need govt money, just more people to go there regardless of the money issues.




this article and others like it prove my point. we need to funnel money, our money, govt money, i don't give a fukk if it's russian money... we need to get our schools up to par. if howard looked like even UVA, black people would be killing themselves to go. instead its 10 degrees out, it's snowing in the DMV, and our black students gotta freeze their asses off and wear a jacket to bed

And anyway, this article just sounds like a problem occurred with the heating system, which can and does happen. It's not like it's saying that Howard is incompetent and broke like the OP is likely trying to imply . Coming in here making threads like a Breibart supporter.

Its a whole bunch of brehs who went to schools like HU and ‘House who 100K + in debt working as a manager in a retail spot somewhere. That ain’t nothing to be ashamed of at all, but you gotta tell both sides of the story. I know brehs who went to them schools who doing str8, also know some who not. It really goes both ways. And I think them cautionary tales should be out there just as much as the good ones if folks bout to make that big of a financial commitment.

Are you going to tell me a Carnegie designated Tier one university like American University (with a entry GPA of 3.6 ) is a bad school all of a sudden?

they closed because of the weather... what they didn't do is close and tell students not to come back, because both the heat and the hot water broke down


i don't think you're feeling my point here breh.. i'm not trying to say don't go to an HBCU.. i'm not saying howard is some piece of shyt school. all i'm saying is, we need to look towards those with money, to help our schools get on the cutting edge in all aspects.... instead of blaming young 17-18 year olds, for wanting to go to whiter schools, because they have better facilities. there should be zero argument with asking blacks to give to black schools
