And I thought I caught the trick but there was one last one.
:wow:

But wouldn't the guy without the whistle chain be 2.5 since the guy with the whistle chain is 5? Half of 5 is 2.5 so why 3?
Since the whistle is worth 2 and the guy is worth 5, the guy without the whistle is worth 3. It is a subtraction problem not a divisional one

It's 16

The value of (1) whistle is 2
The value of (2) whistles is 4
In the last column the shoes are valued at 10,the man is valued at 3(instead of 5 since he's no longer wearing the whistle),and the single whistle is valued at 2.
From there you evaluate using PEMDAS

Still doesn't work because both
2+2=4
and
2*2=4

So there is noway to define the logic of the symbols.

Example
If whistle set = 9
Then we know a set is multiplication 3 * 3 = 9

How?
Because if a set was addition 3+3 the whistle set would have been 6.

They fukked up by making the whistle set = 4 there by not giving enough data to clearly derive the logic involved.

The problem is ambiguous
(You can only solve it for a range of possible answers. Not for a specific one)

The Opposite Of Elliott Wilson's Mohawk
1st equation: 3x = 30 so x = 10
2nd equation: 10 + 2y = 20 so y = 5
3rd equation 5 + 2z = 13 so z= 4

So x + y + z = 19. Unless the dude with/without the whistle is a different variable, in which case it's not solvable. You need 1 different equation for each variable to be able to solve it.

Piddly shyt... let's get into some calculus

This is less about math and more about eyesight.

Make a math thread with some real math problems so I wont feel like I wasted my college education :snooze:
