I've been holding out on that game, due to VR. Please let it happen :sadcam:

Matter of fact, I've been holding out on The Witness for VR too. Please let that happen too...

just got my Wii straps. I copped since a lot of people were saying the straps it comes with break easy. I'm not trying to throw my controller through the wall :whoa:

All my Vive folk need to cop this!

is that "Lightblade"?

I played through "The Gallery - Episode 1: Call of the Starseed" recently. shyt's kinda pricey ($30), but it's probably the most complete feeling VR game I've played so far. it's a short (~2hrs) adventure game, with a few puzzles. the graphics are pretty nice, and the mechanics work well. it has a cool inventory system where you can reach over your shoulder, and access your backpack. I guess there's gonna be more episodes, but it's not clear what the price will be

"Cosmic Trip" has potential, but at the moment it's lacking content, and too easy when you figure it out

"The Solus Project" has terrible controls. it's just a weird mix of teleporting a short distance ahead, and awkward 'traditional' movement. they actually released an apology about releasing the VR version in this state. they've been modifying the controls though, and the game seems like it'll be cool when they straighten shyt out

"Destinations" is basically like the postcard destinations in The Lab. it's made by Valve, but the focus is on user-created locations distributed via the workshop. it's free, worth checking out, and should have a lot of content as time goes on. it's not a 'game' though

"Cloudlands: VR Minigolf" is... uh... minigolf. pretty well done, with some crazy holes. it has multiplayer, but I have't tried that yet. it's supposed to have a level editor eventually. that should be interesting

played The Visitor and A Chair in a Room. VR horror games :merchant:

The Visitor is pretty short (and $1), but creepy as fukk

A Chair in a Room is like a horror/puzzle game. I've only made it through the first few chapters. shyt is well done and feels like a very complete experience, like The Gallery

I played a bunch of Out of Ammo too. that game is real dope. it's an RTS base-defense game, but you can also take control of your 'men' (pause) in first person. the graphics are super simple (kinda like Minecraft), but that also gives you a very clean image. it seems these kind of 'god games' work good in VR. it feels like you're playing a fully animated board game

Now that the hype has died, what you think?

As of now, i don't think it's worth spending that much money on as of it.

My good roommate has the Oculus Rift with the new accessories and even he barely uses it that much in his spare time.

Yikes!

I just bought a 20 dollar headset for my phone. When I get bored of using it, I'll save it for when some little family members come over
