BTW, Final approach is actually a VERY good game. Probably my favorite so far.

And Pool Nation VR is also very good, but it makes me want to play actual pool instead of this stuff. Physics in the game is top notch.

The Brookhaven Experiment (demo) is pretty scary too. when you turn around and there's a life sized zombie in your face :damn:

My brother was visiting me this weekend, and I let him try out my Vive. He said the games were "the most immersive I've ever played." He got some motion sickness, but he was VERY impressed. I still like my Rift better, but he says the Vive is the future. I guess I gotta play it more, cuz I still think the fukking motion controllers are gimmicks. Maybe it's just me. :yeshrug:

VR sickness is real though. He had to take the headset off after like 30 minutes and thought the "real world" was like a VR game. I've played enough VR games to not experience the motion sickness or out of body experience or whatever, but he definitely felt it.

He was very impressed. I'd call him a casual gamer, but he loved my Vive. He thought that shyt was crazy :wow:

I'm an anomaly I guess, because everybody that plays my Vive thinks it's the fukking future of gaming. They can't get over how "cool" it is. I wish I felt the same way. Anyway, I'm glad I have the Vive and the Rift though. I can't wait until major studios support these headsets (I guess Fallout 4 will be the first one)

I did feel a little weird after playing on the VIVE, but I got used to it.

BTW, it feels like everyone is against what you are saying about Rift vs Vive. I do think the Vive is the best headset on the market, despite the Wii like paddles :yeshrug:

Yeah, no one agrees with me about the motion controls. I still stand by my statement, but I do realize I'm like the only one that thinks they're gimmicky. My Rift definitely gets more play because all the games are controller specific (and the exclusives are some of the best VR games you can buy). I dunno why, but the Vive motion controllers don't impress me. Maybe I just need to play more. #selfie tennis and audio shieild get a lot of play though (they're fun and relaxing). I guess I'm more into the "head" portion of VR than the "arm" portion, if that makes sense. :yeshrug:

what game made him sick?
All of them, but Astra Domine (or however you spell it) was the one that put him over the edge.

He never got motion sickness from my Rift strangely enough though. The Vive is much more immersive though, as you walk around and move your hands. It makes sense to me

I haven't played it, but I heard that game makes a lot of people sick
Yeah, it makes me sick still actually (not enough to stop playing though). The controls are iffy.

It's the most motion sickness inducing VR game I've ever played on either headset. I wanted him to go full VR experience (with moving forward, left, right and backwards). I knew it would fukk him up, but I wanted him to be fully immersed.

I finally got to try the vive at the MS store...and I have to say it's not a gimmick...if they can figure out a way to walk in a FPS game that feels as real as everything else:banderas:

I didn't find it disorienting at all when I finished playing but I only played for like 15 minutes though :yeshrug:
