The D (where it's so cold)
I cant fukk with this. if a nikka talking slick, and even tho we don't know what really happened, we can almost bet that it was Smith saying something out of pocket, a nikka can only take some much before its fisticuffs.

But "Chris" and Rome don't work together, Hugh and Mike do and have for some months now , so Hugh should know Mike well enough to know slick talk from drunk talk.

I like the his and hers podcast that Douglas and Jemele do, but I've never seen this show.

I can't stand Hugh Douglas as an analyst, but this makes me wanna check this show out today for the first time :leon:

Hugh Douglas and Michael Smith, ESPN TV co-hosts, Nearly Came to Blows During Altercation at a Party [UPDATE] | The Big Lead Douglas and Michael Smith, two thirds of ESPN’s afternoon TV show, Numbers Never Lie, were involved in a heated verbal altercation Friday night at a party in Orlando, three sources who witnessed the incident exclusively tell the Big Lead.

Douglas and Smith, both in Orlando for the National Association of Black Journalists convention, were attending a Sports Task Force party at the House of Blues when tensions rose and the pair had to be separated, sources said.

Douglas, a former NFL defensive lineman, is 6-foot-2 and more than 280 pounds; Smith, a journalist, is considerably smaller. It is unclear if the altercation got physical, but a source who witnessed most of the skirmish described the dust-up as “very ugly.”

An ESPN spokesman refused comment. Neither Smith nor Douglas have tweeted since the incident.

One source who was at the party said the verbal barbs were so nasty that “there’s no way” Douglas will be on Numbers Never Lie this week. An ESPN spokesman wouldn’t confirm that.

[UPDATE: ESPN spokesman David Scott has just released a statement to The Big Lead: "We are aware there was a disagreement between Hugh Douglas and Michael Smith on Friday. We are looking into the situation."]
