That’s how white people view their pets. Ol “animals are people too” looking asses.

I can understand people growing strong attachments and bonds with pets but it's not a human :hubie:.

Like during hurricane Harvey some news reporter went to go rescue an old lady from flood waters and she screamed she wouldn't go without her dog...that man went down into the depths and saved the dog for her :gucci:. Ot was probably all she had in this world left but I would have told her to get it how you live and God bless :hubie::deadmanny:

Is the dog dumb because it’s a pack animal that’s putting its own welfare at risk for its family? It’s a working breed dog doing it’s job. :yeshrug:

Yes it's "stupid" because it doesn't realize that it's "pack" of humans will just be more casualties at the hands of a cougar.

Here's the problem with dogs, as opposed to cats. They didn't evolve through the workings of Mother Nature to develop properly on a physiological and mental level. Humans "created" them from the wolves that assisted early man on their hunts. It still has the inner workings of a wolf, albeit a domesticated one, which allows them to share living quarters with us. Wolves are larger, more powerful and run in a pack of other wolves. So a wolf vs a cougar has a chance because it'll most likely be assisted by other wolves who are just as big, strong, quick, feral, and most importantly coordinated along a mental map with it.

Small cats weren't created by humans out of say, lions and jaguars. Nature made them, so, unlike dogs, their differences aren't just superficial. When a species of an animal arrives after the gradual evolutionary process, it's been altered both inside and out to be properly acclimated to it's environment, ecosystem niche, and expected lifestyle. There's a reason why the jaguar and jaguarundi, despite both being South American wild cats don't hunt the same prey. They jaguarundi knows what it can handle, just like the jaguar.

That dog in that video is powered by instincts to expect to be backed up by his pack. The problem is that his pack is just a human who is lucky that he wasn't facing a rabid cougar who will attack anything. Also, the fact that that dude went out there without a firearm to fire a shot to scare off the cougar is a massively idiotic move by someone living in the woods.

There's a reason a b1tch a$$ chihuahua will bark and try to get buck with a human off rip but a housecat would rather hide from you unless it's rabid, defending itself, or dealing with some sort of past trauma. The cat knows it's limitations, the chihuahua, with it's internal framework of the wolf doesn't.

Hope that clears it up for ya!

Who said anything about deep? You asked a question, and I answered it with a properly thought out answer to drop a little knowledge on the brehs, like adults should expect from other adults. Don't ask questions if all you want is confirmation bias. Sorry if you were expecting a smiley or some stupid infantile jokes but then again what else should I expect from this place :mjlol:
