This isn't actually true. They got the non-han living in reservations like native Americans. The homogenous country concept is propaganda to prevent revolts

• There are millions of of Turkish uigher Muslims that are in an open air prison, forbidden from talking to media or leaving. They are the literal slaves that make shein and temu clothing cheap
• They got Tibetans who speak their own language and have thousands of years of separate identity living under an iron grip in the west.
• They got tens of millions of Cantonese people that don't even speak the national language and don't identify as Han that live in guangagzho area
• They basically ate the canton people of Macau and hongkong and told them they are now Chinese OR ELSE
• Finally there are dozens of other ethnic groups like musuo , manchu, hui , etc who were told to assimilate or else .
• All these groups have their own identity, language, traditions, culture , and religious beliefs . The diabolical part is that the social credit score system and hoku system prevents these minorities from moving .

They force that silly one China policy as tool of control. China is as diverse as Russia or India , but they got an iron grip on the populous. And Yes , they are all East Asian, but they aren't the same kind of East Asian. Its kind of like how Nigeria or Kenya are all black, but there are many black ethnic groups within the country with their own languages, identity, and regions of control.
