They just stopped doing the G last year and switched everything to Q last year lol. They still sell the G37 (Q40) along side the Q70 that was suppose to replace it. Dumb ass hell but whatever.

SAN DIEGO – Changing its vehicle names two years ago to variants of Q and QX harmed Infiniti sales and awareness in the U.S., but company officials still believe it was the right thing to do.

“We saw a drop pretty much across the board when we switched names,” Sean McNamara, senior manager-product planning for Infiniti Americas tells media at a ’16 QX50 event here.

The nomenclature change was shepherded by former Infiniti President Johan de Nysschen, now president of Cadillac, to align the Japanese luxury marque more closely with its German competitors as it expanded globally.

I don't know, the Q50 is kinda meh to me personally & now it has a lot of other tough competitors in it's class that are just as good or better like: ATS, IS350, 335i eating into it's sales, plus you could probably slot the other rear wheel drive sport sedan models at the Q50''s price point for potential buyers like Charger RT, RT/Scat Pack, 300C & Genesis even though they are classified as much larger cars.


Hopefully the new Q50 coupe due soon will be a stunner similar to the concept, which will certainly help bring in buyers, but Infiniti sales have also been hurting from a lot of their other older models which need a complete makeover.
