is this a decaying infrastructure problem or a lack of regulation problem? those drums that were stored under that overpass look like they contained flammable shyt and they were just stored there like it's nothing. the fire caused the collapse right?

It may not be an issue of Neglect...even a Brand new bridge will fail if its heated up beyond the tolerances it was engineered for...people forget that Concrete has almost the same thermal coefficient of expansion as steel.

When only one section gets heated far beyond its design limits it will expand and buckle.
