and this is just economic and education. everyone already knows we are culturally the most influential and the most talented as well. From inventions that impact the world globally to entertainers. There is no African Garrett Morgan. No African Aretha Franklin.

So I'm to assume when some of y'all do it, it is entirely altruistic but when someone non-black does it, there is an ulterior motive? That doesn't make sense.
Most likely, they were getting something out of it, either emotional or a chance to say they did. That and people have been saying Africa is a chance for investment.

The fact that we are even your competition, should not be. We are an extremely young ethnic group, Africans have been around for thousands of years. Your comp are asians and europeans, not us.

Here’s the truth, Africans have taken the single greatest lost in human history. Blessed with the most beautiful, resource rich continent in the world. And lost it in 30 years because of tribal division and centuries of slave trading. There is no Loss in the history of our species that compares. I’ve checked.

You lost the entire continent, to outsiders. There is no greater conquering. You have so much work to do. And there’s nothing you can do to undo what has already happened.

If Africans were the face of blackness we as a race would be even less respected than we already are. We are not perfect, but Black Americans have been amazing for the image of global blackness. Because leave it up to Africans we’d be known as genociders, slave traders, rapists, and bushmeat eaters. And I know africans are not just that, even though all that happens over there in large numbers. But if it were not offset with Black American dominicans on the world stage that’s what they would push.

in my heart of hearts, i think the non stop oppression and lack of a national identity that’s actually comforting has made us stronger

having no “tribe”, no “country” the expectation to be a political powerhouse for the world despite not exactly having a country of our own,
