Kanye brought alot of good things to the game too. I can't blame him for Drake. On College Dropout he did an incredible job of telling his own story. It was totally Hip Hop. He wasn't killing people or selling drugs or gangbanging, but that didn't make it soft. There's 1,000's of nikkas that can rhyme that could have made an album like CD with the same circumstances. Most nikkas that listen to hip hop aren't doing all that violent shyt anyway. Kanye was just one of the first guys to tell his story without feeling the need to add anything that wasn't about his life.

the difference is nobody claims theyre the goat rapper.. unlike kanye, you have people claiming him to be the goat. He was the first non writting mc to ever get held that highly. Drake saw that lane and ran with it.

i bet theres some big sean reference tracks he made for kanye laying on some harddrive somewhere.

have credible hip hop heads said it though .....like krs or rakim?

So you blame Kanye before you blame Lil Wayne and Baby for putting him on?

The Lil Wayne cosign is what got Drake in the door and the sudden stardom....

Like it or not, Lil Wayne was the undisputed top rapper when Drake showed up, so when you getting constant collabs with the top rapper in the game I think that propelled him more than anything, especially Kanye

shallow gullible fan > = hip hop sale out artist > = industry plant

yeezus was :trash: and has no deep underlying message :umad:

its also the perfect example of what im talking about. Kanye leading art classes of talented people having a bunch of producers and writers all to make some techno trash :damn:

timbo help start it with "the way i are".......which was cool for pop(with elements of rap)...then everybody followed terribly.

ummm. drake would exist without kanye.

rappin n singing already was taking off.

kanye got by cause producers never competed with elite mc. his stans say shyt bout him being goat..but who cares. no one in their right mind says kanye is a good writer.

drake is the only rapper that specializes in rap , that people are tryna give a pass too. never seen anything like it.:scust:
