Technically I flipped 900 to 75,000 so the only reason a rope isn't around my neck I just keep telling myself I lost 900
I was trying to get to 100k

I’ll retract my statement of being elite but you really, really have to know what you’re doing to be successful in Options. 0DTE is also one of the most risk averse trading strategies and I disagree with the statement about traders with minimum capital being the primary users of this. The contracts are the cheapest but let’s not group folks who don’t have the bread using this to be the primary strategy for them..plenty of traders with excess capital play 0DTE as well for the payouts.

Gambling addiction is very powerful and destructive. A gambling addict is five times more likely to die by suicide than a drug addict or an alcoholic.
For me it was 5-6 years ago where as a newbie i flipped $50 into $16,000 over the course of a week parlaying the start of the NBA season... a string of 7-8 game parlays that i got right. I thought i was a fukking genius.
Of course, my luck ran out and i lost it all 3 days later .
I just remember being alarmed at how i fell into that rabbit hole. Part of it was that as a 6 figga breh, the idea of cashing out at "just" 1k or 5k didn't really move the needle for me.. not even 16k, which would be before taxes. That's definitely how the "house" gets you everytime. The thrill of being just one more bet away...
To my credit at least, i never spend big bucks of my own pay check. I know it's too volatile for that and I actually give myself a budget per year that i'm pretty strict too. The "play" money is where temptation definitely hits me tho.

Nothing wrong with 0DTE options, if you have extra capital to spare, but there are a number of other option strategies that you can also profit from which are less risk averse.
