Can you operate a truck business without having a license?

let’s say I buy two trucks and hire some employees. Do I have to have a CDL and know how to drive them myself?

Ima try to only do south and Midwest

Load rates out west are trash

Coming out of California loads paying 90 cents per mile :scust:
I only ask because I own a commodity based distribution business. All I hear from my wholesalers is about how expensive their freight has gotten for trucking. And I know they use the “boards” to ship me my material. Just generally curious about the different areas of the county and costs of freight.

Anyway good luck w your truck.
