Although I agree it doesn't work like that you in office you can only pass the blame around for so long before people reject it. Biden wanted the job he's got to own it. He also looks ineffective at fighting it which doesn't help tbh.

Honestly, most voters don't know much and it's easy to just blame the President for anything that goes wrong. Inflation is happening around the world. It was bound to happen post covid. People probably just didn't think it would be on this scale.

Breh this is literally the history of politics over the last 40 years in the US.
- Carter got blamed when then Vietnam bills came due.
- Reagan got credit for crushing the Soviet Union when it was Carter's Afghanistan trap that destroyed their empire.
- Bush II ran on giving people money back in tax tax cuts from Clinton's good economy.
- Obama STILL gets blamed for Bush II's real estate crash and Trump got credit for the greatest recover in US history that Obama created.
- And now magically the economy stayed strong during what should have been the greatest economic collapse in our history from the COVID shutdown but was somehow was held off until Trump was out of office.
- And, in 2 years the economy will start doing better but Republicans will run on how bad everyone felt in 2021-22

But being the figure head of “THE GREATEST NATION”

It might not be in the job description but people are going to make sure you know it or at least make sure to let it be known your administration has some culpability in this mess

People would at least ride for them to some extent
