No way :picard:
Are you weighing your feet down?

You not supposed to weigh your feet down, otherwise your hip flexor do all the work. I read into this because I'd be doing situps but wouldn't be sore.

Leg raises seem to get the job done. Or it could've been the crunches

What exercises do I have to practice to build up my core?

well I don’t like sit-ups and I’ll be honest you don’t need to do sit-ups to build up your core at all. Crunches to me are much better and healthier; hanging knee/leg raises, oblique crunches, planks, but don’t forget things such as bracing your core during heavy lifts. Also don’t forget your abductors/adductors, lower back, and general flexibility.

Meaning? Are u talking about squats with weights and all of that?

yes, with almost every exercise with heavy weights you should automatically activate/tighten your abs for stabilization if you’re doing it right. Bench press, squats, lunges , farmer carry etc
