you know what? i actually started with bjj. did it for about 3 months before i got a stress fracture in my lower back. that fukked me up for like a year in terms of doing a sport or anything physical.
so as soon as my back finished i decided to go to a boxing gym to see if my back would hold up. 3 months later i had my first amateur fight and i havent thought about doing grappling since. plus i dont have to pay anything to box. bjj was expensive.

my bjj professor is trained in bando, but i think the western version is heavily influenced by boxing - probably a cause of intermingling of the two arts with british colonialism in burma. he runs a striking class but i cant be arsed to go tbh. i dont wanna get CTE breh
i respect any man that gets into the ring amateur or pro. cus this aint for the average person at all.
