I can't objectively reccomend getting a PS4 over an XB1 right now

You still have that link with the top 10 games on ps4 and the XB1? majority of the top games on PS4 are on the XB1 to but somehow the ps4 is better when the top games on both systems are basically the same

If I had to do it all over again I would have just built a mid-range PC. Both consoles have been underwhelming to say the least.

Best strategy for someone who is still on 360/PS3/Wii-U is to build a nice mid-range PC in the $600-$800 range. Yes its more money up front but you'll save tons in software and free on-line. Then as this generation comes to a close cop both the xbox one and ps4 for cheap with a good library of exclusive games to choose from. You'll still get a chance to experience the majority of must play games in the meantime. Being that most people are playing multiplats anyway.

I had both, and re bought an XBONE. XBONE is the much better overall entertainment system, and this is coming from someone who has had EVERY play station. That said I am more into fighting games and XBONE sucks for those, but I dont game as much so the XBONE serves me better for its entertainment options.
