I can't objectively reccomend getting a PS4 over an XB1 right now

Yeah you can play while the game installs but only a certain amount. I mostly just let it finish downloading plus I buy digital rather than physical. It does take a while to install but for me that was with the actual disc. Like I said, I buy digital so the game finishes downloading before launch date just in time to play at 12 midnight.

In my experience installs take much longer on the XB1 than they do on the PS4

I never understood this concept, or the whole "which system is more powerful" debate, which is the same argument that I see in almost EVERY thread in the Arcadium. People put way too much time into this. It's ok to be loyal to your brand...but the 900 vs 1080p argument is kinda weak and played out to me.

Legit question: Were people questioning PS2 users back in the day when the Xbox and Gamecube were the clearly more powerful systems?

Oh really? When I looked up comparisons a while back it said you couldn't play during installation & all my friends complain about the time it takes to install

In all reality, with how cheap these systems are, you should just get both. My X1 gets more play, due to it's media capabilities, but if I gotta choose a multiplat game that is only on the ps4 or X1, I'm choosing the PS4 version for the most part. I can tell the difference between 720p, 900p, and 1080p. I prefer 1080p.

PC gets the most play though with multiplats, when available.
