Mike Awesome used to do it Over the top Rope onto masato tanaka in the entry way, i cant find the clip but I remember one in ECW where he almost crippled the black guy from the FBI by Diving Into Him and almost bending his spine in half over a gaurd rail

It's wack now because the WWE guys all land on their feet after they hit the guy. Bret used to do a real suicide dive

The real problem is that they both push off of each other and the outside guy gets too close to the ring so the diver doesnt get to build up any speed. It looks so gentle
side note, Kane has been stinking up the WWE ring for literally 20 years this year. I've spent more time with this shytbum than my own grandma

When a Big Man like Harper does it, its dope. But for the smaller dudes, such as Ambrose, Rollins, or Bryan......if you are gonna dive to the outside either go hard or dont dive at all. I expect a lil more from them because they have the athleticism do be more flashy but I understand they are limited by Coke Boy standards. My biggest pet peeve is when one of the Usos dive outside, I swear they are gonna clip their foot on the top rope and screw up their life

I'm wary of that from the time he did it in ROH and smashed the guardrail instead, busted himself open pretty good and concussed himself as well. It's been years since that happened and I still get concerned when he does it.

That must've been horriifiic, I remmeber sometehing similar where he did it to Nigel McGuiness to start the match and he busted Nigel open and gave him a concussion. Injury risk aside its a thing of beauty
It's still a cool move but dangerous. I always cringe a bit when seeing someone do it. I'm always expecting them to catch their foot on the rope and break their neck.
I think WWE should be more responsible and put restrictions on it. A lot of times these guys dart themselves into the barricade.
