An internet connection?? Nah, you have to spend a year with no contact - none whatsoever. With access to the internet, most could do it once they realize it will net them millions. Few have the mental and emotional wherewithal to do that for a few months, much less a year, if it entailed having zero contact.

social isolation can really fukk you up. We aren’t meant to be isolated like that, we are social by nature.
