90 percent of the people that bump Gibbs do it off the strength of Jeezy, so hating on him makes no sense. Up to a certain point, all the press and interviews GIbbs was getting was about how he felt post the Jeezy situation and Gibbs capitalized off of dissing Jeezy and other big names. I respect Gibbs as a artist but lets keep it in perspective. Most of the people in this very thread that love Gibbs and hate Jeezy know that they would of never heard of Gibbs if not for the co-sign.

i didn't know they had records together until last year, and i'd been listening to gibbs since 2010

these are two of my favorite rappers but if jeezy signed him with the intentions to make him blow, he's a terrible boss... i understand the 50 comparison but still

nikka is crazy talented but never really blew, even with all the tools and the right people at his disposal, because they tend to feel like someone else should be making the moves they need to be making.

Rappers are still hung up on labels in 2014? I thought Macklemore, Wiz, Technine, Hopsin, etc already showed the industry that going indie and owning your own masters was the way to go.

We'll never know what it truly came down to unless both artists give more information, which we know they wont do. But I do recall Gibbs stating that Jeezy didn't keep the promises he made upon signing with CTE.

Ross got lucky with Meek.. Not saying ross hasn't helped but he def got lucky with meek cuz meek was already charismatic in his own way


He hasn't been able to do anything for Gunplay or torch

I forgot the other triple c nikka but point is shyt ain't easy marketing "street rappers"

Gunplay is just trying to get right mentally, but Gunplay makes music the public will like. He just needs to define his catalog.

I also blame Gibbs for putting his career in the hands of a guy who has proven that he can't break artists. Gibbs and Jeezy didnt even have great chemistry on tracks either smh. Would've been better off signing with 50 or pushing this ESGN label earlier.
