Believing in something bigger than you feels awesome.

Everyone wants to argue about what's real and what's fabricated but sometimes having faith gives you that extra push.

It's a mindset.

It's not about the religious aspect of the belief. The "rules", the "guidelines" churches and other institutions try to put on the masses.

It's about the cliche quotes like:

"If it's meant for me, it's for me and no one but God can take that away."

"God wouldn't put stuff on you he knew you couldn't handle"

"God sits high and looks low."

Can't lie that first quote gets me all the way through when I feel like I can't obtain a goal. When I feel outta place.

Anyways just wanted to throw that out there.

Having Faith in God is putting that confidence back in my life to keep it moving. Staying consistent. It brings positivity and a balance.

Im not the biggest religious dude out here but there must be something said about the decline of the black community and the decline of church in the community. Of course other factors have contributed to the decline of our communities but spirituality was always the glue that held us together

Belief in God was never the problem. Organized religions using the belief in God to further their agenda has & will continue to be the issue. Having faith in something greater than yourself sets you free from the shackles of this little world & limited existence. Set your mind free.

I also can see how it keep people complacent. Something doesn't happen? "Oh God didn't want it to happen." When in reality it's because you didn't put in enough effort.

I haven't been to church since 2012.

I'm spiritual.

That's why I wrote about the rules and guidelines.

My overall post tho was kinda speaking on personal life. Not to get into it but I've been extremely down, crawled, stood up, walked, then made it to finish lines. I obviously have more living to do but I notice that when I seemed to have negative energy and attitude shyt fail apart.

Obviously, bc of my negativity but bc I lacked faith. To me it's beyond God. You lack faith in yourself. You start to be like "fukk it, if he exist why is this and that this way." But you realize you not making not strides personally.

I'm not here to preach or try to convince anyone to become a believer. I just know having Faith, praying, and humbling myself has done more good than harm and I wanted to share.
