Anybody else like this? Im a fukking nerd when it comes to rap. I dont just listen to rap, I find myself literally studying and "dissecting" it.

I dissect the rhyme schemes and patterns used. I dissect the flows and cadences. I study how the rapper conveys his overall message/story while at the same time utilizing an assortment of poetic devices and techniques. Its fascinating to me the thought and intelligence it takes to pull this off.

I rarely just mindlessly "vibe" to rap music. The rap music I listen to personally is too lyrically dense for me to just "vibe" to. If I wanna just "vibe" I usually just throw on an instrumental. My mind is usually heavily activated when I'm listening to rap and is why I'm so addicted to it as an artform. I've noticed new shyt that I never noticed before in songs I've listened to hundreds of times.

It really exercises and challenges my mind:ahh:

You can study some songs/albums in the same way you could study something like the bible.
