yeah as a side character.

thery're not gonna make him an avenger for a full movie.

half the deal is for his own movies, which is expected. But he ain't gonna be in the avengers.
Fam I feel like that’s just semantics. He wasn’t a side character in Infinity War, Iron Man even gave him the Avengers speech.

He will be in Kang Dynasty and Secret Wars helping the other heroes.

Now if you wanna say he won’t be an “official” member of the Avengers, cool but he will be with the Avengers fighting whoever the enemy is.

yeah that's what I'm saying. he'll never been in an official capacity, until sony gives them rights up, and they never will.

MidCU right now

X-men is their last chance for me. I don't even go to the theaters for their new releases anymore

Give up on the shows Marvel. The movies were already basically shows and you made billions. Stop getting greedy.

They’re so dumb. They need to bring the X-Men in. What the fukk is the holdup :why:

Who I think should be the new Avengers won't matters as they don't have the current lineup to pull it off for differing reasons. The biggest issue I think that MCU currently faces is that they don't have a new face of the franchise or leader stands out on the Avengers.

That current lineup just doesn’t have the name recognition in actors/actresses or heroes to carry the MCU franchise going forward and they really should have recasted TChalla.

Before posters say anything else, just because it happened in the comics doesn’t mean that it will work or should be done on the main screen.
I see Strange taking Tony's place due to their similar personalities and because he's at the helm of this multiverse Era the MCU is entering. I see them trying to make Captain Marvel replace Steve. Thor is going to continue holding down his position in the big 3. Hulk will be back, Shuri's Black Panther will replace Black Widow if her sister stays with the thunderbolts and doesn't join the avengers. Sam's Captain America will probably replace Hawkeye. She Hulk will probably just be the teams lawyer. Moon Knight will join. Sersi from the Eternals will replace Wanda

They’re so dumb. They need to bring the X-Men in. What the ____ is the holdup :why:

I think they're waiting for their contracts with the Fox X-men actors to expire first.
The Marvel Cinematic Universe is getting much bigger with the Multiverse Saga in Phases Four through Six, but fans might not see the X-Men until 2025 due to reported contractual issues.

Wolverine, Scott Summers/Cyclops, Beast, Magneto, Professor X, and Jean Grey/Dark Phoenix is finally making their way into the Marvel collection. Still, new reports indicate contractual issues regarding “contractual obligations” preventing Marvel Studios from officially making a standalone X-Men movie for the MCU.

Given that mutants are now canon with the finale of Ms. Marvel revealing that Kamala Khan (Iman Vellani) is a mutant (and not an Inhuman, like her Marvel Comics origin), as well as having Professor Charles Xavier (Sir Patrick Stewart) appearing in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (2022), Marvel Entertainment might have held off on any X-Men annoucnements at the 2022 San Diego Comic-Con for a good reason.

While these rumors have yet to be proven true, recent claims state:

RUMOR: #MarvelStudios’ contractual obligations may reportedly prevent them from making an X-Men/Mutants movie before 2025!

— MCU – The Direct (@MCU_Direct) July 26, 2022

MCU Direct writes:

“Despite the introduction of mutants at the end of Ms. Marvel, there’s no mutants in Phase 5. I know why. I know why there’s no mutants. I know why this is going to take a while. There might be individual mutants, there might be other characters that show a certain interest. The reason why is the contractual situation with the original Fox stuff is going to be in effect until 2025. So, if they don’t want to use those actors, then they have to wait until that contract all expires.”

With these rumors being rumors, take this information with a grain of salt.

Marvel may have saved all X-Men announcements for its D23 presentation this September. However, it wouldn’t be a surprise if The Walt Disney Company was still solidifying business agreements regarding their acquisition of 20th Century Studios (formerly 20th Century Fox). As a result, the X-MEN may stay hidden for a bit longer.
Nonetheless, if Marvel knew that they couldn’t introduce a solo X-Men film for Phase Six of the MCU, would they have showcased Professor X in Multiverse of Madness or changed Kamala Khan’s backstory? Only time will tell!

However, every Marvel fan can look forward to the upcoming animated series X-Men ’97 that’s coming to Disney+ in fall 2023!

Those are the rumors I'm aware of, at least.
If any coli brehs know more or if I'm wrong, educate me because I've BEEN ready to see the X-men in the MCU :feedme:
There's way less of an excuse to not have the F4 by now though.

They will not make an avengers movie with Shuri as BP mark my words on that.

Sam Wilson got no power at all. Dude is just an army captain with a shield. They better inject him with some serum. Tired of watching him get his ass kicked.
I think Kevin feige or someone else came out and said they dont want Sam to have to powers to make the character "more interesting"

So unfortunately, that doesn't seem to be in the plans :francis:

There have been multiple versions of The Avengers in the actual comics :skip:
Generally they usually keep at least one or two OG members in every single iteration as the leader of the new teams. Like Iron Man or Cap, or even Hawkeye for the west coast avengers. They've never replaced the entire roster all at once before in the comics. Should have just went with a comic accurate Defenders team instead since they still have Hulk, Strange, and Namor running around.
