DMX is equal at best if not slightly below Pac to me
They both had the lyrics that touched people because they were honest in their music about their flaws and vulnerable.

I can actually understand the comparisons. DMX had the drug demon and pac had the wanting to fit in and be accepted demon and both their demons killed them

I never saw Pac as simply someone who wanted to fit in. Dude was a natural leader. Pac’s thing was he had to be down with the street dudes because that was the way his message would ultimately get out to them (in his mind). His message of black unity would fall on deaf ears if he was talking the talk while living in some mansion away from nikkas. Another thing with Pac is that he was extremely loyal, which is why he rode so hard for those around him and felt animosity for those who crossed him. Also important to remember he had only been 25 for less than three months at the time he was killed. He didn’t have things figured out and was still learning.

X in 98 was white hot no doubt and up there with 96 Pac along with 93 snoop, 03 50 cent, 08 Wayne

The two number 1 albums in a year was a Pac accomplishment first before X did it in 98 as well.

Right! Dude was naturally charismatic, radiant like star, fearless like a lion. That nikka was no follower. Just a little naive, but who wasn’t at that age? I damn sure was and thought I knew a lot more than I actually did.
