I advise any and everybody to travel solo at least once in your life. Truly enlightening experience to wake up in an unfamiliar town/city/country, not know anyone, and have an entire day ahead of you to do whatever the hell you want.

I travel solo once a year to recharge and decompress.

Last year was Amsterdam. :mjlit:

You're never alone in Amsterdam :jawalrus:

going to South Africa for flight and accomdations for 800 :francis: I aint believing that
Tell me how bruh :patrice:
There’s so many sites, Facebook groups, apps nowadays. The hard part is they come at random, so most people just set up alerts or check daily. It’s basically Groupon for traveling.

start with travel pirates. That’ll give an idea of what you’ll see. I just opened it and see Cancun all inclusive 5 days for $500. Spend another 300 on a flight and you good. And that’s all inclusive in Cancun. I see flights to Europe for $400. Costa Rica trip for $500. Weekend in nyc for $250.

I’m trying to find an Africa one but it may not be on here. But the catch is you gotta book the whole package and they set a parameter of dates. So it might say $800 but it’ll be for April 2nd to June 10th only. And it’ll be at that price for 16 hours. Then you gotta wait for the next deal

here’s one that’s expired to Kenya. All this shyt plus a flight under $1000

Kenya Vacation: Safaris, Mountain Hikes, & Elephant Center Tours under $1,000!

Cape Verde flights for 450

Bargain flights to Africa! Fly to Cape Verde from $427

here we go. South Africa stay for 73 a night

4-Star Resort In Cape Town, South Africa From $73 With Breakfast

Then book the flight in the 700s

Nationwide Flights to Cape Town from mid $700s—Normally $1,000+

a little more than 8 depending on how many nights. But again. That’s not a full on package like the others. You just gotta be patient and have your money stashed and waiting

Yeah and certain times are cheaper to fly than others

leaving on weekdays will save you money on flights same with hotels. Summer and Christmas are expensive for travelling.

I always travel solo

best thing ever I have friends all over the world :shaq:

Omg!!!
To hear the exact same shyt that you say, said in the exact same way... is a great feeling.
People make u think ur crazy for saying it.

But its true... muthafuka, u put off paying ur car note and had to scrap and save... just to have to pack luggage.. get a ride to the airport, get to a new place (which takes like a day or 2 to even get comfortable)
Start to enjoy urself... then 2days before u gotta come back...
You start thinking "fukkkkkk, I gotta go back to that shyt".
Then ur packing, and hoping ur ride is there to meet u at the airport on time.
You came back home wit a t-shirt.

U bought paradise for a week.
I can make my paradise anywhere, everyday for the low:yeshrug:

(Sorry for the rant)
"Dad can you take us to Disney World"

"Shhiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit... I got Disney World at home.. Jump on that mattress while I put Toy Story on boy"

What countries arent racist
All countries I've been to are just as racist as America if not worst

This is the furthest from the truth, or at least as I’ve experienced. “Racism” felt more like curiosity, if anything. I was pleasantly surprised when no one cared as my best friends and I roamed around East Europe. No one treated us differently than the next man or women, no special treatment, it’s felt good; never got those pre-judgment vibes. It’s actually one of the reason I believe people, specifically Black Americans, should travel.

White Europeans I’ve met are very different from White Americans.

I was going to move to Amsterdam, but after heavy thought it would be a stupid financial move... and I’ve grown to dislike Amsterdam, outskirts are cool and LOVE the bike culture.

I Agree everyone should travel solo, but I also know it not for everyone. Here’s my trick, I don’t advise this... I do it, those “scammer” (they aren’t scammers, more so hustlers) in front of the airport are basically THE BEST tour guides, and if you don’t know the language, don’t worry, they know enough English. Befriend them; again this isn’t advised.

Lima, Peru is outstanding for solo travel. I’m surprised more people haven’t visited.

Costa Rico was my most enlightening solo travel. I was motorcycling around the country; Their spanish is clutch very similar to how you learn it.

Agreed about solo trips maybe not being for everyone. I'm an extroverted introvert, so I'm cool with the alone time - gives me clarity.

Amsterdam is overrun with tourists nowadays from what I've read. Last year was my 3rd trip (2nd solo) and it did seem way more crowded and commercialized since I last was there in 2010.

Are you a boring person? If so, then yeah, travelling solo might be a boring venture for you, but if you the type of person who can make their own fun while meeting and befriending others, being by yourself should be a strength not a detriment since you're fully in control of your schedule, activities and free from anyone bringing their bad vibes like some like to do on vacation with you.

your expectations are way different lol
when a white person is curious in america its racist and them cacs supposed to know
but magically when a japanese person touches ur hair they curious :mjlol:
It’s funny how people frame these experiences outside the context of American
And use euphemisms for their behavior xenophobic :russ:
To me you have to see it the same in both situations
Plenty of cool white people in the states as well

Nah bruh.... it's just that we use "racism" for every little thing.

Obviously in the states, white ppl are gonna be a whole lot different than whites in other places.
shyt ain't the same here as everywhere else.
Our history as black and white Americans make us different than the rest of the world.

Every where I've gone it's been nothing but love.

And I always tell ppl, as a black American.. ur unique to the world.
Theres Africans everywhere... literally everywhere u go in Europe. Or anywhere theres black and brown ppl.
But the African American, our style and flavor is only here. So when we go to other places, they recognize that...
And yes, they are very curious about it, and intrigued.
They really only get to see it in movies and rap videos...

Black Americans only recently started getting passports and traveling...because that's the wave now.

@Pazzy I hear what you're saying. People who travel just to brag are beyond obnoxious but it shouldn't deter someone from wanting to see the world.

People that I've met who usually object to travelling have a small town mentality. When you get to experience different cultures and realize that the world is not as racist to black people as the media would have you believe, it really changes your perception.

Malcolm X is a prime example of why travelling is for everyone. Once he went to Mecca, he realized that CACs in America aren't all necessarily the same world wide and he changed his stance on empowerment. Him seeing Muslims of all backgrounds pray together was a pivotal moment for him.

For me, travelling when I was young gave me an incentive to have a much better career so I can travel often. When you rarely leave your home town let alone your country, you have no reason or desire to travel.

that’s not really true about Malcom x tho. That wasn’t his first time to Mecca, actually his 2nd or 3rd. His stance actually changed once he was suspended and kicked out of the NOI did it change to “oh we all Muslims”, not to mention he knew about Muhammad have all them kids and sleeping with supposedly young women but didn’t say anything til he was kicked out and not allowed back in.
