Kobe was a sidekick to Shaq in 2000, but from then on, he was as much the reason the Lakers won as Shaq was.
From 2001-2003 Kobe averaged:
Regular Season - 27.9 PPG, 6.1 RPG, 5.5 APG
Post Season - 29.0 PPG, 6.1 RPG, 5.2 APG
Kobe was a beast next to Shaq. 29/6/5 in the playoffs is SUPERSTAR NUMBERS. He was at worst the 3rd best player in the league from 01-05. And in some cases was better than Shaq. Especially when they played against the Spurs in the playoffs.
