i don’t eat crab, shrimp, lobster.. none of that. i don’t eat sea food, period! never had an interest in it and the smell disgusts me. but if i did it would only be fish that has scales and fins anything else is an abomination

Oysters- raw with lime and salt/pepper or hot sauce or grilled, pound them down with some cold beer

Leviticus also forbade people from wearing mixed fiber clothes and having tats. Bottom line is a lot of what was written as guidelines in the bible (as well as books of other faiths), fit the lifestyle of the authors, not the other way around. There was no way for them to properly store and preserve seafood back then, so it was of no use to them. By the time they had their catch and got back to shore, everything that lacked scales would've been spoiled.

Theology aside, if you didn't grow up near a coastal area with an abundant supply of seafood, you really can't compare situations. Some places, seafood is cheaper than beef, even chicken. And where it's not, there's a reason prime seafood like bluefin tuna, large shrimp demand upwards of $20/lb.
