The law is that they make it up in their tips which gets taxed if they claim it at the end of the year. That’s why I try to always tip in cash because they get to keep it all and don’t even have to claim it

It’s an inequitable system to begin with. I can guarantee you these same people in here talking about stay home aren’t tipping their delivery drivers at the same rate that they’re telling others to do for waiters/waitresses. And if they aren’t, they shouldn’t be surprised or mad if those drivers spit in their food or eat portions of their food.

Ok, cool… do you tell the server that up front? If you don’t , you are being dishonest, because you know damn well they are serving you relying on it due to they lower salary, regardless of who is at fault. If you sit down to eat, you know damn well the server is relying on that tip because they are getting a lesser salary than they co-workers. If you don’t feel comfortable doing that, you get your shyt to go. That’s why you get food to go. You pay extra for a dining experience. You want to sit down and have somebody fill your glass, ask if you ok, bring you more food items and drinks…You give them a tip.

But these restaurants who do the mandatory tips can kiss my motherfukking ass because I do whole heartedly agree it’s they way of finessing and robbing both you and they staff. But you know your server is expecting a tip when you sit down to eat. So if you not going to tip, let them know up front you not going to do that, and let’s see if they still take your table. Otherwise that’s bum broke ass shyt. You don’t tip and sit down… you a horrible person and a bytch. Now that paying at the register and optional tip to go shyt is just ridiculous to be expected

nikka that’s why you get food to go. Do you tell your waiter up front you don’t tip? If not you aren’t being transparent with them, because they probably won’t take your table. Regardless of your philosophy, the server at every restaurant gets paid less than everybody else they work with and that doesn’t change despite anybody protest. That’s literally why you are tip. So you can say “fukk this shyt, the restaurant should pay you” .. they still won’t.. so you just said fukk you to your server. They could have took another table and got a tip. Instead they served yo broke ass for less than minimum wage because you lied
