Most drivers are starting at OTR mega companies (Swift, C.R. England, etc) and paying them back tuition for 13 months on top of shytty starting pay (mid to high 30 cent per mile). I got lucky in the fact that my company had an opening and I took that shyt with no experience to avoid going over the road and got my $4500 tuition paid back. I made over 50,000 in 8 months last year working 4 on/3 off averaging between 50-55 hours a week. The money is out there, especially in a trucking hub like Chicago. If you wanna make more, you can get endorsements for tanker and hazmat.

There's companies that pay well without those (the food service jobs like Mclane and US Foods make damn near 100gs) but it's a matter of looking for them and not going on Craigslist and taking the first thing that pops up
Right if you got your CDL in Chicago or Nwi you are making at least 48k a year this man knows :myman:

The money is definitely out there. I’m buying my own truck next year. After I pay it off, I’m going to focus on buying truck number 2 and learning the broker game. I’m looking to have three people under me and get money while I go home every night. That’s the 5 year plan.

I'm ready brehs. :wow:

I'm making decent money as a production supervisor, but I finally came to the realization that I hate dealing with lazy ass people and attitudes. Tired of dumbass questions and babysitting day in and day out.

Please steer me in the right direction. I need to get my cdl and start out.

I love driving and sleeping in a truck doesn't bother me one bit.

I see old classmates back in Memphis making bank. :ohhh:

Just start talking. Where do I start?

I'm in Atlanta. Starting from scratch..

Obviously, training and obtaining a cdl is necessary ...

Best way to start is call those big companies to train you for a CDL A for free. Depends on the company but you may have to fulfill a 8 month to 1 year contract after they train you. Once that year is up, you would be set

I'm never in a good mood anyway. These nikkas in the warehouse I work gets on my last nerve. LAZY... baby sitting. Something always wrong, always got to leave early, and always gotta go to the restroom. All damn day. Something hurts... a task is too complicated to do... or random emergencies.

I don't even be wanting to show up in the mornings. 45k isn't worth my sanity or health. I don't even be having time to eat on break... I'm constantly handling issues or with quality assurance because something wasn't done right by the workers.

fukk them. It's time to go. :fire:
