Former WWE Superstar Cody Rhodes was recently interviewed by Dave Solo at the Heroes & Villains Fan Fest in New Jersey. During the interview, Rhodes discussed his WWE departure and more. Brandi Rhodes also chimed in during the interview.

Rhodes on feeling less than he was in WWE: “I was in Greensboro and that’s where my dad and Ric (Flair) had to get on the radio, in fans cars, and tell them that the event was sold out for Starrcade. I thought ‘Here I am looking at this Stardust outfit in my bag… I feel like I’m less than I am and no amount of money is worth being less than I am.’ I don’t want to be anything but #1.”

Rhodes on wanting moments and not money: “I don’t want the money, I want the moments and you (WWE) are not giving me the moments.”

Brandi also said that someone could “make a hat out of turds, creating a turd hat, and it would get over in the WWE!”

Even before the story came out about the "soft release" thing, it was obvious that's what was going on here. WWE letting him go to refresh himself and up his value to the smark crowds. It was very clearly from day one when he was only working with indies that have been working with WWE lately.

It's hard for me to take anything he says seriously when he was hired as a teenager with no previous experience, and got a 9 year run in WWE as a favor to his dad.

He already has the money :yeshrug:

" I don’t want to be anything but #1.”:salute:

Sheit and the lady,....
Eden stiles in that up up down down video of the madden championship is so charismatic.
She stole the scene with some robot moves and action.

Cody beat the game.

Actually Cody could transition to cop shows or play like a sophisticated bank heist pretty boi guy.
like on the movie that came out a while ago with woody Harrelson and Darryl from twd.

Cody was an inring prodigy as a worker very young breh.
He was clearly better than Orton, teddy Jr and all of evolution early on.
He was just young and had no physique to create intrigue into his workrste from casuals.

Cody was as good as any young Indy hopeful early on.
He may not have been as good as the natural dustin Rhodes was as an all around talent like duatin and Windham were.
Yet, incomparison to other Indy guys with that same lack of experience in a promotion.
Cody was a top tier acquisition.
Plus he had the look he just may not have been on the same type of cycle Orton was on originally.
Plus, he was not a McMahon inner circle liked acquisition like hhh's Orton and Batista in evolution were.
Including a conflict of interest with flair in evolution as well.
Seeing as cawdy is a Rhodes.
Yet if Cody would have had the physique.
He would have been a better foil to feud with, if he was in evolution.
As there are natural legacy feuds and tension with flair you could have drew gangbusters with. If Cody was a part of and ousted from evolution.

The WWE could have done a bj vs corino family style feud.
That included cody with flair evolution and duhtay rather easily.
If Cody would have had aesthetics and been able to be in evolution instead of legacy

When has the WWE EVER truly cared about "smark" crowds? :usure:

Cody was getting crickets from the smarks, now he will go out there and do his high school gym circuit and all the smarks will love him. He will come back to the WWE and be much more over

The mental gymnastics of this thread. Yes, people can leave Vince and be happy and successful. Theres no collusion. Ive been telling y'all for 7 years Vince is NOT the end all be all.

The same people claiming he'll be back were the same people who didn't give a fukk that he left. :skip:

But but WWE is the only place to work at. Everyone else just wrestles in high school gyms. :troll:
