Even before the story came out about the "soft release" thing, it was obvious that's what was going on here. WWE letting him go to refresh himself and up his value to the smark crowds. It was very clearly from day one when he was only working with indies that have been working with WWE lately.

It's hard for me to take anything he says seriously when he was hired as a teenager with no previous experience, and got a 9 year run in WWE as a favor to his dad.
:mjlol: wwe is not nearly smart or calculating enough for something like this maybe 20 years ago.

When has the WWE EVER truly cared about "smark" crowds? :usure:

It's obvious the new business philosophy is to cater to people who will buy the network. Ratings are down and the money is up.

They would rather have 3 million raw views and 1.6 million network subscribers than 5 million raw views and 900,000 network subscribers.

It's in their best interest to cater to the smark crowd while also keeping the kids. No reason to worry about being main stream. Being main stream is just Vince. When the old man goes you'll see.

Pwg has been working with wwe?

Hes also mentioned roh and njpw

Regal (and sometimes Brookside) have been going to multiple PWG events for the past 2-3 years, they picked up a number of guys from PWG, and Cena name dropped PWG on Raw. So I mean, there might not be an official relationship between PWG and WWE like there is with EVOLVE and WWE, but PWG is clearly on the radar and okay to work.

The mental gymnastics of this thread. Yes, people can leave Vince and be happy and successful. Theres no collusion. Ive been telling y'all for 7 years Vince is NOT the end all be all.

This true, but some of these wrestlers and fans feel like they gotta be in the wwe or else they're a failure.

No, why is this even in question?

They wanted him to sign a legends deal so they could still sell some merch with his likeness, which someone couldnt keep their mouth shut and let it leak out so he turned it down.

Seriously there was a reason the E never pushed him, dude is average and boring.

Why are people pretending to give a fukk about him? Cause he wrote the list with all indy darlings, damn it's TOO fukking easy to pander to smarks.

Nigel mcguiness says his career was a failure cuz he didn't make it to the E :merchant:
He didn't pass the WWE's physical. That's the only reason he went to TNA.

The Real Reason Nigel McGuinness Signed With TNA Wrestling; Failed WWE Test

According to Nigel McGuinness himself yesterday, he decided to go to TNA instead of the WWE because it took too long for him to get a contract. However, this is a lie. He actually failed a certain WWE test.

It should be noted that McGuinness didn't fail a drug test, it was said to be medically related. See, McGuinness does have a history of injuries, and he just came back from two bicep injuries that he was sidelined months for.

He is said to be better now, but apparently not well enough to pass the WWE's prescreening test. The reason TNA signed him was because they do not have a prescreening test for their talent.
