Rappers aint the super heroes they used to be. shyt is mad corny. Especially when the middle class rappers have to fake their upbringing.smh

struggle stands the test of time. Either ways, Chance and Drake lying too about their upbringing. Ross might not have been Noreaga but that was the real Kenneth Booby Williams cosigning him on Hood Billionaire. Ross might have not been Scarface but he worked for him. Thats more than good enough for me. Just like with Jeezy and Meech.

Marketing wise, a story line is great. 50 getting shot 7 times and changes his voice to slur than everyone likes.
But most rap listeners are in high school college kids and only about 5% had lived that lifestyle

Labels realized they can't control real street nikkas like they could these new drugged up leaned up skinny rappers from the outskirts...

You don't hear stories of nikkas running up in offices cause they money not right anymore for that reason...schmurda and keef are good recent examples of why labels prefer "suburb nikkas"
