Then don't listen to them

If anything middle class rappers are a breath of fresh air
Everybody didn't grow up with roaches in their cereal, that shyt is old. Let's talk about black excellence instead of people who grew up in fukked up situations because their parents were idiots
I spoke on it before but this whole line in the sand over "real" rappers and "fake" rappers reinforces white supremacy since it basically states that being mired in poverty and surrounded by violence is what makes you authentically black :scust:
fukk outta here with all the shyt
I didn't say they was fake

I just dont want to hear it
Nikkas got to say but but but it enforces whote supremacy when aint no one talking about white ppl
Just a easy way to plead their case

I thought people wanted relateable music.

There's more middle class black folk than they're are trappers. As desperately as yall want it to be otherwise, Jcole and Chance the Rapper represent the average young black male way more than chief keef and bobby schmurda. That's why they have bigger followings too.

lol @ crime stories the only acceptable come up. this board is hella pathetic

What difference does it make at all? If you found out that some of the rappers in the thread you are praising grew up rich and were rapping about their poor cousin, why would that turn you off to their music?

Cacs just want to hear rapper re-affirm the negative stereotypes they have about black people. That's why cacs will say what the OP says but they get mad when those same rappers switch up and talk that political talk.

Also, look at the user names and reps of some of these posters...:mjpls:

:russ::russ: I don't care that these cats are middle class, it's just that they suck. Phonte was middle class and he was A. better than all these nikkas B. laid the template for these dudes and they haven't done much with it.

I gotta be honest, I disagree about middle class rappers having nothing to say, but moreso I respect @Black Trash! for just saying what a lot of poster don't really have the balls to say, they have a vendetta against middle class rappers.

Which is ironic because a lot of great rappers came from middle class backgrounds.

Make dope music....the background stories dont really matter to me too much because I assume that most of them shyts made up...whether or not you are a backpack, gangsta or concious rapper.

Rap is storytelling not documentary narrative...at least thats how I look at it

I want to hear good music.

Yall sound like females :snoop:

You shouldn't be rapping about what u don't know but to say the only people who have something to say grew up poor shows low expectations for your the type of art you can enjoy
