I don't see how. 9th is a professor of hip-hop studies at Harvard University and Duke University. 9th took his beatmaking thing into literally an entirely different world over in academia. Being a part of what he's got going on in terms of education and trying to spread hip-hop culture and appreciation on an institutional level is a good move for anyone, and is very respectable. Plus Soul Council isn't like the Heatmakerz or Organized Noise where they all make beats together. It's just a crew of producers. If you're dope and they like you, and both of your interests line up, you can be in there too, if you wanted to.
