I doubt anyone cares, but Hi-Tek is officially a part of 9th Wonder's Soul Council production team

I don't see how. 9th is a professor of hip-hop studies at Harvard University and Duke University. 9th took his beatmaking thing into literally an entirely different world over in academia. Being a part of what he's got going on in terms of education and trying to spread hip-hop culture and appreciation on an institutional level is a good move for anyone, and is very respectable. Plus Soul Council isn't like the Heatmakerz or Organized Noise where they all make beats together. It's just a crew of producers. If you're dope and they like you, and both of your interests line up, you can be in there too, if you wanted to. It's not some exclusive club that no one can be a part of.
hi-tek has/had more of a career than 9th wonder

soul council just pump out 100s of identical beats for 9ths wacc artists

ain't no professor of hip hop studies they had him teach a class or sum that's not being a professor

:heh: his Grammy and his Duke University class schedule disagree with you.

:ld: A lot of Soul Council production does get similar after a while though
