they lost a BIG part of what made them SO unique. he brought that X factor and he probably inspired a lot of the guys in many ways, you can tell any time it's brought up that they really do miss him being in their lives. but the biggest reason why they died is their insistance to do the solo dolo thing back in the late 90's plus the flood

the flood forced RZA to start all over again and now because he had money and he's a gear head he had so many new pieces of equipment he wanted to start using them. Wu-tang Forever was made almost entirely with some new drum machine he got (DDrum i think it was called) it changed the direction of the sound. maybe if they let RZA exec produce or produce a majority of the sophmore albums maybe they would have grown together as artists but they went in completely different ways for the most part.
