Piggybacking off a @NoStressB post

Outside of Daytona, all those 7 track Kanye EPs came and went, none of which were particularly good.

The Nas and Kanye album should've been the winner but was middling as fukk, no matter how much a stan wants to lie about it.

Jay-Z and Beyonce dropped a joint album this year and no ones talking about it anymore. How the fukk does that happen?

People are still lying to themselves that Migos can really rap like that and convinced them boys to drop bloated and solo albums that were, shockingly, underwhelming.

Who's left....them lil Rocket Power ray mustard nikkas? Come on.

Best song on the Swizz Beats album wasn't even produced by him (to no ones surprise).

And yall aint finna give it to Drake sooo....

Lot of disappointment this year....I'd expect some of yall to say this year was trash even.

But on the underground side of things? Breh we eatin so good, we gaining weight. :ahh: Currensy/Gibbs/Alchemist, multiple Roc Marciano albums, Conway, Westside Gunn, and Benny all dropped heat with multiple releases, Ka and Animoss dropped a masterpiece, Lupe with the greatest, heaviest, and BLACKEST album of the year, Meyhem Lauren/Harry Fraud with that fly street shyt, Crimeapple with that grimey shyt, Armand Hammer did it again but most of yall still aint ready for em...I mean, what? And I know I'm missing some more shyt.

Even Joell Ortiz dropped the best album of his career with Apollo Brown and showed some serious growth on the mic that proved he's not just a rappity rap ass nikka, and Knowledge the Pirate surprised everybody and dropped one of the best debut albums in a long time with Flintlock.

But yeah, if I didn't know about any of that...I'd be disappointed too. :qpsmug:

What is really the purpose of this thread? There have been plenty of mainstream releases that have been dope.

Kids See Ghosts is a really nice album.
DAYTONA is probably one of the better albums of the year.
Scorpions R&B side is probably one of Drake's best.

Other than that, yeah. Rae Sremmurd just came and went. Culture 2 proved that if it wasn't for Bad and Bougie, Migos would be out of here. That Jay/Bey album left before it got here- same with Esco's. Saba and Royce still have the best albums overall.
