I got a background check for my new job and I lie about job dates so much I don’t know

when I’ve actually worked

These are all slightly above minimum wage jobs so I’ve gotten away with it before
But their email said specifically make sure the dates are accurate
Or termination or your hire can be rescinded

:lupe:
I lied so I could get through the interview phase...told them I been working at my current gig for a year when it’s really been 3 months
My boss said he would cover for me

But now I’m gonna have to go looking through emails for old versions of my resume

In the past 2 years I’ve had
7 jobs
Including one I’ve left and came back

Judge me:manny:

That's the trick, u ont actually put your previous employers/supervisors names or numbers.....just put a family member or friend instead and give em a heads up just in case they actually do cross reference.
Done had bout 10+ gigs in a 2year window, be quitting em and getting em back like a m'fer :sadcam:

Imma get my act right for the '19 tho

Nah I actually worked those places
But now I gotta remember the dates
Already quit my old job so I hope they don’t take one look and be like hell no

It will probably be a third party company and I never submitted my resume into the system

Did you submit a work history specific for your background check? They'll check every single thing you put on that form.

Nah
I didn’t thankfully
I went on an open interview day

I swear I’ve lied on others and got through

Not gonna take that chance on this one tho

Does the company you work for have a corporate office? If so, that’s where that information is more than likely stored, and yes, it’ll more than likely be HR.

I didn’t submit it yet
But this is really going to be difficult
I gotta go thru all my emails
Might not make it
