Me and this Dude at my job (we'll call him "Brent") went to go do a delivery at this barn, and they had a ball court.
After we give the client the product and do all the paperwork, we shoot a few baskets with him.
"Brent" is just rainin' from long distance, yo. Like - he didn't miss a shot he took.
Dude is older, maybe about mid-40's, but he's about 6'5, and is in decent shape (n/h).
On the way back to work, I ask "Where did you get that shot from, yo??"
He said "Hell, I grew up on the farm...we didn't have anything to but shoot, fish, and grow corn...
I played hoops (he's white - they call it "hoops") in high school in college."
Me: "what school?"
"Missouri State. It was close to home, and if I went there I knew I could play. Kansas State offered me a
scholarship, but Rolando Blackman was already there, and he played my position so I knew I would have to
wait...."
Me: "...wait a minute...so that means that was probably around the time Mitch Richmond was about to go there?"
"Yeah..."
I was like "Dang, yo...Brent coulda legit been a shooting specialist in the Assoc in the 90s and retired by now...and he working at this mundane job with me...chilling..."
