It always has and will always be a niche thing even for the city. It was more prevalent when I was growing up but even then you would only hear it during certain times with DJ mixes or at parties. Even though that was more so Ghetto Tech which is distinctly different than Techno. For as long I can remember the biggest fan based for Detroit Techno has been overseas. Most of the DJs are just regular dudes around the city but would fly out and be stars elsewhere. As far as jitting, it was a party thing in my teens for sure and had a slight resurgence a few generations after, but once again it’s very niche and not adapted by the majority of the city especially now days.

Oh this that shyt!! Females used to go wild in the club or on the isle. Admittedly not my style but the effect on the females. :ohlawd:

Not really a thing outside of the club nowadays. But it'll get the party going for the 35 and up crowd.

Anybody remember the new dance show. Got a young jit through

Seems like it's the GoGo of Detroit

I think everybody know that.
But I don't hear of large amounts of black folks even listening to Techno; especially in Detroit

They do no matter if you hear it or not. Most individuals these days are followers. That's why I said damn what everyone is doing in mass numbers. People here listen to everything country, rock, Indy rock, Indy rap etc.

I had went to it after watching Spice Adams' "Tell me You From Detroit without Saying One Word" short.
