I got a used mac. I need help

I never used a mac before and the only thing I know how to do is connect a USB drive.

So this thing says
MacBook Pro
15 inch, early 2001
2 GHz Intel Core i7
4 GB 1333 MHz DDR3
Mac OS X Lion


I just want to know if it's upgradeable
And if it's worth it
I'm just going to use it to surf the web, YouTube and online classes
Any other info will be appreciated

Definitely upgrade that OS to Sierra.

RAM will help, but your biggest gain will be an SSD. Absolutely a must for a Mac these days (Any PC for that matter tbh)
