This is a silly thing to make a thread about
I disagree. That’s what forums are for..and I’ve seen nggas make threads and engage on MUCH dumber shyt

I do think it’s telling and the type thing we don’t even stop to think about…what would be silly OP is if you took it anywhere beyond this. I’m assuming you not thinking of bringing it to HR or sum :childplease:

This, all this. Smh

Well in my opinion, that distinction is probably borne from the flawed assumption that all homeless women are victims of circumstances like an abusive relationship, as opposed to homeless men that just don't want to work or are drunks. One side gains from societal benefit of doubt while the other is blamed as the source of their current condition.

I don’t understand the attack on the op. I think it’s a reasonable question. He didn’t say women shouldn’t be helped, he just questioned why women were the only benefactors when men suffer the same experiences, if not at a higher rate than women. Normally there is a reason why one group is targeted over others, and he just wants to know what it is.

If the reason is that homeless women tend to have children, then that would be a valid reason. But why is it wrong to ask the question. That’s part of the problem with society today. Dudes can’t even ask a question without being called a name. We’re doomed
The problem with society today is you cant help one group of people without everyone else getting mad. Can’t forgive student loans without mfers saying bu bu what about me. Can’t do anything specifically for black people without other races saying bu what about us. Can’t even donate to homeless women without men being “pissed off” about it :heh:

I suspect I know what op is talking about, I'm IT breh also and i'm studying UX from Google, they have multiple course on UX psychology , equity and equality. and they push this shyt HEAVY in the class .
I seen some of the same instructors pushing none equality during lectures for the class...

Basically whoever made or sent that email made certain types of users/people left out like below

Equality means each individual or group of people is given the same resources or
opportunities. Equity recognizes that each person has different circumstances and
allocates the exact resources and opportunities needed to reach an equal outcome.

No, the problem with society is that too many people lack the ability to engage in productive dialog and just attack each other instead

The question the OP asked has been answered. Some people used it as a teachable moment and effectively answered and informed the OP

But then you have other cats that were immediately in attack mode for absolutely no reason.

A lot of silly confrontations could be avoided if we used teachable moments to actually do that, instead of immediately throwing punches. If people weren’t so fukkin combative and actually used constructive dialog, the world wouldn’t be so shytty

Who or what's stopping the OP from helping homeless men on his own time?

If the job explicitly stated that any employee found to be assisting homeless men would be reprimanded, then there's a point to be raised.

The job never said that, so if it matters that much to the OP, that's all he has to do if he's sincere in seeking some sort of balanced justice.

Nah, not when he can log in to The Coli and use this situation to bıtch and moan for some daps and pats on the back from the rest of the Woman Hating Fellas!

Priorities, you know!
This is a message board. The sole purpose is to do what he’s doing. You’re just calling it bytching and moaning because you don’t agree.

Also, he never suggested that women shouldn’t be helped.

Finally, why does someone have to take on homelessness themselves to ask a question about why the program is designed the way it is? He didn’t do anything but ask a question because it didn’t make sense to him. How about I go through every post you make about legislation that you don’t agree with, assuming you talk about those thing, and ask “why are you complaining, you should just do ______ yourself”

The difference is that he’s not claiming that one group shouldn’t be helped or doesn’t deserve help. He’s saying that based on his observations, men probably need just as much help as women, if not more, so why is was driver for that distinction.

He didn’t make a definitive statement, he asked a question, which is the major difference. All Lives Matter people weren’t asking any questions, they decided in their minds that Black Lives Matter wasn’t a righteous cause and decided to undermine it. I’m willing to bet if someone responded with a logical and legitimate explanation to why homeless women need more support than men, he’d probably walk his statement back.

We all know why “Girls Who Code” was created. Because women are underrepresented in in Tech. The man just wants to understand the program, lol
