If you've been a Yankees fan, be happy that money got you all those 'ships since there's no real hard money cap in baseball. (to back that up, yankees have paid 91% of all luxury tax collected by the mlb). But don't let that cloud expectations for other sports ventures!
Broadly speaking, at some point, all teams will get their chance (except the Cubs, I would like to die having them not won anything.

) sooner or later. It's just a matter of time. Our national pro sports are still young, having maybe an avg of 80 year histories across all of them. And many of them try to build dynasties and so on that will last long times. The Bulls basically owned the 90s, and that's ten years outta luck. The Celtics and Lakers went at it for so long. Heck, look at the Giants, they've been competing most of the past 10 years. The Pats are last decade's biggest c*nts.
In a big market like NY, it's bound that one of your teams succeed in their respective sport. And yeah, that will entail many heartaches. But the journey getting there, that's the best part. Cherish these times, for like the 90s, you can go irrelevant soon after.
