I already know who the hipsters are on this board.

My older sister hit me with the hipster label a couple of years ago to which I had to give her the look.

Really, just cause I like to listen to cassette tapes every now and then, have an obsession with dead technology, wear slim (not tight) jeans, and wear retro nikes does not make me a hipster. I don't do anything out of irony. I don't really chill with hipsters...have some friends that could fall into the hipster category...but they aren't pretentious douche bags. I hang out with mostly black/brown folks anyways.

I'm too hood for that shyt. Besides...most of these black hipsters are trying their hardest to diassociate themselves with anything black anyways. SHAME ON THEM.

I'm definitely a rather hood individual being that i still live in the hood but as far as music taste, interest in bike riding, skating, i do graffiti too, I sometimes think I fall in the hipster category.

Word. I parked on Lincoln Road and Flatbush and watched the scenes. Nothing but gentrifiers everywhere and Condo developments. No more architecture either. Just big boxy buildings with glass and a concierge desk.

I went to look at a place in Bed Stuy, a renovated Brownstone on Hancock and Jefferson. They wanted a million for it. The Realtor put it nicely for me that if I did not have a half a million in cash to forget about buying in that part of Brooklyn. Wealthy Jewish people are purchasing the Brownstones cash and renting out each floor for anywhere from 2,000 to 2,500 basically allowing the property to pay for itself.

I blame the hipsters for swarming to an all black neighborhood and rendering it unaffordable.

Real talk..when I see them in Crown Heights when I go to get my haircut once/twice a week...they literally make me angry.

They don't care about the neighborhood, just the quirkiness/irony of them living in a black "nabe" and to replace it with people like them so their more comfortable.

They don't care about diversity either...just for aesthetic purposes. It's not like they interact with anybody that's not like the unless their going to a store or are in a situation where they have to deal with them. In fact, I'd say they go out of their way specifically to NOT interact with anybody like them cause black/brown people make them uncomfortable. It's not like they had those/them out in Iowisconsintucky or wherever the fukk they came from.

I have to say hipster fashion is the best thing to happen to men in a while. Hipster fashion makes average men look hot. I think it's the tightness of the clothes- shows off that V shape.

But yeah, hipsters are just revamped emo and skater kids who grew up and now need another niche to fit into before adulthood takes them and never brings them back.

All I know about hipsters is from watching The Comedy. Great movie too.
It's about a bunch of hipsters being so desensitized and bored with hipster culture that go steps further by dancing naked together, making comments agreeing to racial intelligence for shock value, singing out loud "I want black music!" to a taxi driver, and watching old erotic footage of their own parents.

Oh, and a King of the Hill episode about a group of hipsters stalking a Mexican like he's a zoo animal.

If real life hipsters are anything like these people then I don't want anything to do with them.
