The AA dun crossed into Angle Slam territory... nikkas done kicked out of the Angle Slam so much it became as common as a regular suplex for King Kurt.

Back in the day you when a dude hit his finisher it was OVER. Maybe you get one flash kickout to add some serious drama, but that was very rare, and if he ever hit the finisher again it was 100% over.

Hell yeah! I wish he would've busted out a "high angle" version of it for big matches.

Takashi Sugiura PLANTED motherfukkers with that shyt

Last night's match was not overrated.. They did things in that match we'd never thought we would see in a John Cena match... Finishers not meaning anything anymore is better, it makes the ending a lot more unpredictable, for me at least.

I agree on this too. I did enjoy the matches. I'm actually kinda surprised they let Cena take a Fisherman Buster off the top rope. My only issue with the match was that some of the spots were identical to the RAW match. I didn't mind the false finishes as much as the threadstarter but I still think they could improve the way they have false finishes without ruining someone's moves.

After a while I honestly thought it might end on a small package.

HBGOAT made it the thing to do, I don't care who started it

Before those WM matches hardly anyone was doing it, after those matches we saw it every damn PPV

:dahell: Kurt did it in every damn main event match he had since 2000. Stop trying to give Hickenbottom credit for everything. You sound like that nikka acting like he started hardcore wrestling, the attitude era, etc.

Jim Ross himself said the HBGOAT/Taker match started the false finish TREND

Like I said, they didn't invent it but no one else was doing it like it was going out of style till they did it in those matches, keep up nikka

DX is credited for starting the attitude era :umad:

Remember when HBK hit a super kick and unless you were on some Cena/HHH/Taker shyt, your ass was looking at the light for three seconds. Now a days everybody and their mother does the super kick shyt is just another set up movie now. Shame too, because its one of the GOAT finishers

Hogan kicked out of everyone's finisher until the Ultimate Warrior match and it was the Rock/Austin WM 15 match that changed everything in that regard.

This...it aint new,its been happening since the 80s...WM2 George Steele kicked out of Macho's elbow drop

Its just more corny now cuz its 8 elbow drops being kicked out of...

When did he say that? And either way he's wrong... Hickenbottom bit Kurt Angle's style, period. They were doing the false finishers in their WM 21 match years before he wrestled Taker.

And Angle on the record saying that match was his best ever, :HBGOAT: never taken an L

But you clearly aren't able to keep up with this conversation and don't understand the impact of the HBGOAT/Taker classics

That has absolutely nothing to do with this discussion, but I'm the one that can't keep up? :leostare:

I don't mind it though because it puts over how good his version of it was. It's just a regular move for these nikkas when the GOAT hits it you done :ahh:

Same with Hogan's leg drop nikkas hit leg drops every day b, but when Hogan hits it
