I'll be honest..a lot of millennial folks come in with heavy chips on their shoulders and want what they want NOW..I don't blame y'all tbh because it's dog eat dog but the corporate environment hasn't fully adjusted to how Millenials act and think imo so you have to play the game by the traditional standard.

People who don't adjust to the times, deserve to get shytted on.

There's a female I know (25 years old) who I helped get a job at Blue Cross CareFirst in Baltimore cause I went to school with the breh there who's over underwriting. Job starts off at 47k, she comes in and is doing good until I get a call from my breh asking what's going on with her...She demanded a raise

This woman basically ranted about all the extra work and long hours she had to work and felt that her current salary isn't commiserate with the work she's doing. She hasn't been there more than two months, she wasn't even working before then because she got fired over bs from her last job. My dude gave courtesy to me because he was going to fire her off the rip but called me first..i had to explain to her that she needed to chill the fukk out or she'll be heading back to Charlotte with her tail between her legs.

Everyone thinks the younger generation is worse than their's.
Then they use extreme examples to broadstroke that entire generation.
If you pay attention to older television, you'll find the previous generation, Generation X, was the generation known for being lazy.
They're where the "slacker teenager" and "clueless college student" stereotype originated from.
The generation before that was even worse, they actually created an entire movement around avoiding work, doing drugs, and having sex with no responsibilities.

You wouldn't believe how far confidence and a smile will take you. I've conducted a panel interview with one cat who literally looked like he was gonna fire off rounds in the room, I chalked it up to him being nervous but SMILING is such a simple and positive gesture especially when making eye contact.

And i always recommend at the end of an interview in "Asking for the job", I've had one person do that to me and I hired her off that because she expressed an actual desire to work for the organization outside of the canned interview we did.

I don't feel like a millennial at 32. I feel like that title is for the under 30 crowd. I concur though.

It's because people are told for years, by their parents, teachers, mentors, family a D friends: everyone is special, everyone can do everything that they want, everyone must respect and understand everyone's differences, and everyone deserves a trophy for at least trying. Not realizing...all those ideals conflict with each other in the real world.

Nah, this generation really are a bunch of weird hoes that have emotional and self-esteem issues combined with too much intellectual hubris then wonder why life doesn't fall in their favor.

Nobody wants to hire them because the act of taking orders from a superior triggers them, then they use their flawed logic to rationalize how interactions between them and their superiors = oppression.

There were people like that in every generation but we're reaching a breaking point. I blame media conditioning and social media :coffee:

Younger, stupider and more feminized
This.
And more entitled.

Also i notice they want passes and they want to make excuses for being average, below average, and utterly mediocre in general.

The men are just becoming more feminized. Tight jeans, smedium shirts, they look like they can't lift 25 pounds or more, frail bodies, lazy, weak, do but smoke pot and masturbate to internet porn all day, and expect a supermodel looking woman to put up with their bullshyt enough to be their wife.

No wonder the majority of millienial men are losers.

I'm 32 as well and I can't relate to that millenial crowd.

Their ideas aren't realistif and as far as its concerned I just think that generation is lost already and will never produce anything of true value.

They want "safe spaces" when nowhere on planet earth is a safe space. They feel that ranting on social media, making twitter hashtag movements, and writing long think pieces will actually enact change instead of taking action. They want everyone to like them when that is literally imposssible. They have been coddled too much and cant deal with the real world. Which probably translates into reasoning why we have more adults living at home with their parents than any other generation. They soft.

Generalize a whole generation of people and wonder why they don't respect or fukk with you, brehs.

Life is different for millennials than gen x'rs, nikkas can't go out and buy apartments or go to college without using money, people have had the internet ever since they could walk, why wouldn't they want the easiest way out?

But I'm 18, technically i'm Gen Z :sas2:

Edit: I get why you'd write this, but seriously, there's enough Baby Boomers blaming young people online as it is, I don't want to hear other groups trying to shift the blame on "us"

Yeah you can go out and get an apartment. It's called pooling resources with friends/sig other.

And people act like college is a God Given right how everyone DESERVES college. If you can't afford it don't go.

And let's not talk about the Millienials that take on loans then don't finish college or get a bs degree and start complaining about how life isn't fair bc I have debt.

You shouldve looked ahead before spending 10s of thousands of dollars to see what that bis administration degree gets u or gen studies.

No one wants to take responsibility or own up to actions anymore. Instead they think they deserve to make 50k right out of high school and own benz and houses.

Everyone says that the previous generation has this said this about the current generation, and that might be true, but I feel like its different. The options for employment, relationships, politics and society aren't the same. We're in a period of diminishing opportunity and you can't get by with that attitude.
