I's from Jersey. OP is right except for the women. Women are trill homie. Jersey got official dimes in Essex and especially Hudson County. Union City and Rutgers in New Brunswick . Don't sleep on our women .

Not in Philly. We talk different.....nikkas don't say "son"......we say stuff like "jawn, boi, akhi, nut ass nikka, drawlin". We dress different. Philly dudes was rocking polos and button ups when New York nikkas was still wearing timbs and flanel shirts The way we cut our hair is different, nikkas rock long muslim beards.


Not in DC either. DC nikkas love them nike boots, foamposites, new balances (they was rockin all these first, years before other regions). DC nikkas used to love wearing tube socks, sometimes wearing three or four socks at a time That's their style though. Alot of DC cats wear dreads too.

in the 973 we rock ACGs and Gores (vasque gortex boots) exclusively...if we do rock timbs its Tall Cans (8 inches and up)...Omavi (made in newark) was the jeans of choice for a long time but the baggy jean shyt faded out...now we just rock Levis but tuck the front of the jeans into the boot and leave the back out...sunglasses=mookas out here...long trenches or peacoats and baseball gloves was the style in the hood for a min but police started targeting cats who had that look so that stopped...if you rocked that look you was strapped most likely

if you wanna talk about dreads...dreads been the main hairstyle of choice out here since the late 90s-early 2000s...in 2001 I remember most dudes in my hood had dreads and rocked arabic head scarfs (keffiyehs) (also some 973 shyt)...if I told yall we were the first to rock dreads yall wouldnt take our word for it anyway though...like philly, there's a large black muslim population in newark too so a lot of people rock sunnis for religious reasons

out here we bump jersey club music and soulful house and I know for a fact Jersey club music is big out in philly...DJs from out here go out there and tear it down all the time..philly is a big market for club music

I only stayed in jersey once for 2 weeks with my cousins in some cac infested town called brick and that was the most boring 2 weeks of my life

my first time driving through there and I got lost and was about to make a u turn in a intersection and I look further down and they have a u turn exit down further

then you dont even pump your own gas

I lived 2 minutes from Brick it's one of the safest cities in America def cac infested though.
