Glad that you stay consistent about this.
First of all,there is no contemporary style of music on this side of the planet that wasn't originated by black people,take your pick. The issue is the continuous pillage of black culture to make record companies money. Pink is used as an example here,ole girl had absolutely zero and nothing to dictate as far as her first album goes,we can thank La Reid for that vullture of an album,she sold,got leverage and started writing her own shyt.I think we forget that when white artist cross over to a black demographic it's not black people that make them go triple platinum,it's white kids that drive up the stats, we're just there to make it look good.As far as letting white artist use us for clout, again it's the record companies that know how to get our attention,not our dollars.I doubt Kid Rock ever had a sizeable amount of black fans buying his shyt or going to his concerts,it was optics from the get go(Jive pushed that wigger narrative hard).I still have yet to see a white hip hop artist have a career based of the amount of black fans he has and stay relevant for more than a single,it doesn't happen.They have to start catering to their bread an butter at some point(G Eazy,MGK,Bronson are current examples of a hip hop esthetic but a largely white fanbase) they might have personal relationships with black artists and collaborate but the door shuts firmly after they walk through those priveliged doors.

I never supported Kid Rock. Even when he appeared on Hip Hop or R&B albums, it was an automatic skip for me. Never understood why Jay had him play guitar for him on the BET Awards during the performance if "99 Problems" and Kid Rock was fumbling lyrics during the performance. Then T.I. brought him out at another BET Awards show.

Pink was initially marketed as an R&B artist when she dropped her debut. "There You Go" sounds far different from the music she made from her second album and beyond.
Christina Aguilera kind of always straddled the fence of R&B and bubblegum Pop. She went more into the R&B/Hip Hop lane with Stripped and has been doing much of the same since.
